  • The human brain has three parts - 1. cerebral 2. cerebellum 3. medulla-oblongata .
  • The brain is the largest part of the brain. It is the center of memory, thought power and will power that controls bodily functions.

  • The cerebellar controls body balance and muscular motion.
  • The medulla-oblongata controls involuntary movements of the body.
  • The spinal cord is below the medulla-oblongata, whose main function is to conduct reflex actions. .
  • Nervous system is divided into three parts- Central, Peripheral and autonomic nervous system.
  • Sensation reaching from the stimulus to the spinal cord and receiving instructions from the spinal cord to the corresponding organ. The side is called the reflex arc.
  • Peripheral nervous system is connected to all parts and organs of the body by nerves. This system performs optional actions like walking, running, sitting, eating, drinking etc.

  • The autonomic nervous system carries out the functions required in the body. It controls completely involuntary actions such as spreading of the pupil of the eyes, formation of saliva, beating of the heart, respiration, paunch and excretion etc.
